The bituminous membrane is the most common flat-roof system in Morocco — and the most poorly applied. One layer instead of two, 5 cm upturns, sloppy torching: that is why so many Marrakech terraces leak before their tenth year. Often not: if the old membrane still adheres, we lay the new layer over it after preparation. If it is blistered or detached, stripping is unavoidable — the free survey settles the question.
Not directly: it is protected with gravel, slab-on-pedestal decking or tiles. If you want to walk on the terrace with no covering, traffic resin is the right answer — we compare both in the quote.
