It all depends on the substrate: if it is sound, a no-demolition membrane is enough and costs half as much; if it sounds hollow, is cracked or badly sloped, renovating is the only durable choice. We test at the survey and show you both costings.
Only if they are perfectly bonded and flat, which is rare. In a renovation we start again from a sound substrate — but we can reuse your zellige as decoration (borders, worktops).
